Tell us more about your family...

My wife's name is Linda, we've now been married for over 40 years. She has shown me mercy, grace and love when I didn't deserve it. We have two children, Amy and Matthew; a son in law, Josh; and two grandchildren, . Our children are a blessing from God. We take a small amount of credit for the Godly lives they live. Our BBC church family helped to instruct, encourage and love our children. This blessing continued to be passed down to our grandchildren and generations to follow. To God be the glory!

Have you always lived in this area?

Yes and no. I have lived in this area off and on since 1969 and even graduated from HGHS. Over my lifetime, I've lived in Fayetteville, NC - Santa Barbara, CA - Tucson, AZ - Enterprise, AL - Decatur, AL - Huntsville, AL - Clarksville, KY - West Palm Beach, FL - Atlanta, GA and Fayetteville, TN.

How long have you been in ministry?

In all, its been 16 years of ministry with 13 and a half of those at BBC. We started attending BBC in 2001 and then I was placed on staff after a year and a half. I consider it a calling and a passion. I've come to realize that we

are in the seed planting business. I attended an Emmaus Walk several years ago and received an encouraging letter from a student. This student went on to say how much of an influence I was in their life and went into great detail of the many blessings they received from me as a leader. I had no idea and was greatly humbled by their words, but soon realized that it was a teachable moment for me. You never know what kind of harvest you'll receive by the seeds you plant!

What's your favorite thing about your job?

Fulfilling my calling, using my spiritual gifts and serving daily. I pray each day that I'll have a chance to encourage someone in the name of Jesus Christ.

Who has influenced your life the most and how?

My wife Linda. She has shown me mercy, grace and love when I didn't deserve it. She has helped me to see the bigger picture at times when I failed to look past myself.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love to spend time with my children and grandchildren, I ride motorcycles and ATV's, but I also love to fish and shooting guns. Honestly, I like to spend most of my spare time with my amazing helpmate, Linda.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

1. Finishing my purpose on earth with excellence.

2. Travel to witness God's creation.

3. Spreading the Gospel to every household in our Jerusalem (HG) and beyond.

What are your favorite foods?

A medium rare tender ribeye steak and salad. (But ribs are good too!) My favorite drink is the southern favorite ice tea with extra lemon. As far as candy, I like milk chocolate.

What are your favorite movies and tv shows?

I like the "Passion of the Christ" and the edited version of Forest Gump. The only TV I watch is Fox News and the Alabama Crimson Tide games!
