Tell us more about your family...
My husband, Brian and I have been married since 1988. We have four children and a son-in-law.. Holly is married to Marcus; Justin, Morgan and Hannah. I have several heartfelt stories about my kids.. I'm proud of each one of them and honored to be their mom, but our funny story is God blessing us with a 4th child.. our spunky little girl, after 14 years. We had to laugh to keep from crying, but she has definitely brought lots of joy to our lives and keeps us on our toes!
Did you attend BBC before working here?
Yes. I actually attended BBC when it was across the street. I was a teenager and considered a "bus kid" because I regularly rode the church van to activities and services. I strayed away for a while, but then came back as a family in 1993. I started working here in 1998. My being on the staff at Bethlehem has been a huge blessing to me and my family in multiple ways: Closeness to home while raising 4 children, flexibility to be there for them when they needed me, and it has held me accountable on those days that my flesh just wasn't feeling like being committed. I work with some of the greatest, most caring folks around!!
What's your favorite thing about your job?
Job? I get to work with and serve some pretty awesome people AND I get paid to do it. What's not to LOVE about it!!
Who has influenced you the most in ministry?
That's a tough one. I've been under the leadership of some wonderful folks since attending BBC and each one has influenced me in different ways. However, early in my Christian walk, I was able to sit under the Biblical teaching of Jo Carwile. She is the wife of our former pastor, Joel Carwile. Her transparency and teachings spoke truth and life into me. I will forever be grateful for her influence on my life.
Who has most influenced your life?
My mom. She continues to show me what it means to love unconditionally, have a servant's heart, and to work hard to provide for your family.
What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Family Cruise,
2. Exotic Island vacation for me and the hubby,
3. Attend a Yankee's baseball game at Yankee Stadium with my guys.
If you could be a superhero or tv character, who would you be and why?
I would be Samantha in "Bewitched" so I could just twinkle my nose and my house and laundry be immaculate!!
Where are your favorite vacation spots?
We haven't taken many family vacations, but have traveled a lot for cheerleading, baseball and softball over the years. We've been to Disney multiple times for cheer competitions and trips to the beach for ball tournaments. We treasured each trip and the memories we've created!!
What are your favorite foods?
I love Mexican food, all kinds of sweets, and really SWEET tea!!
