Project Descriptions

Kidz Mission: Contact Kristy Knight, kristy@bbchg.org

Students (completed K-6th grade) will make finishing touches, write cards, and deliver flower pots made at Camp Destination Dig to area shut-ins, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.  Sign ups are required.  At least 6 adults will be needed for this project.

 

Free Carwash: Contact Elizabeth Spencer, espencer4085@bryan.edu

Team members (Completed 11th grade students & up/College students & Young Adults) will provide free carwashes to the community.  The group will set up in the parking lot of Hazel Green Florist and offer this grace to anyone who comes by from 9am-2:30pm.

 

School Beautification: Contact Phillip Eady, phillip@bbchg.org

Team members (7th grade students or older and Adults) will provide pressure washing or other needed beautification at a local school (most likely Moores Mill Intermediate).

 

Community Beautification: Contact TBD

Team members (7th grade students or older and Adults) will go throughout the community picking up trash along roadsides and even in area businesses.

 

Community Support: Contact TBD

Team members (7th grade students or older and Adults) will provide yard work or other small helps to community members who cannot do it for themselves.

 

Breakfast/Lunch/Backpack Crew: Contact Betsye Spencer, bspencer@bbchg.org

Team members will make and provide breakfast for all volunteers at 8am on Saturday morning (simple biscuit type breakfast), make and deliver lunches (or serve lunches at the church) to each team.  This team will also stuff the backpacks from the “Stuff the Bus and Feed the Kids” drive and deliver to Moores Mill Intermediate School.
