Karen has attended BBC since she was 2 years old, but joined the staff in 2008 as a ministry assistant. She said, "This is the best church! The people are so loving, the worship is awesome and learning more about Jesus in Sunday School is awesome. There's no mistaking that the Lord is in this place!"

Family
Karen has been married to Steve since 2000; they have a very blended family. Five kids (Stacy, Chris, Savannah, Trey & Blake), 1 daugter-in-law (Jackie), 4 grand-kids (Jamarri, Ethan, Braden & AnnaKate), 1 dog (Beau) and a cornsnake (Big Al)!

Ministry
Karen sings in the Choir, she loves to praise the Lord in song and dance by leading the Next Generation Expressive Worship Team.  She also has a heart for all things Media too...  Photography is her favorite!

Faith
She was saved at age 14 here at BBC in one of the many youth services she attended. For many years, she didn't think she had a testimony, but as life does, it provided one. If you are divorced, remarried, have step-kids, small children, stay-at-home-mom, and/or back at work after several years, you and Karen have some things in common!

Things you want to know, but we're afraid to ask:

Her favorite movies are Titanic, Pretty Woman, Remember the Titans, Top Gun, Cars, Spiderman 3, Transformers... those are just a few... can you tell she's a momma of boys?!

In high school, she and Michael Elders (another member of BBC!) were voted as Most Courteous. There was a tie between Most Friendly and Most Courteous!

Her favorite musical groups/artists are Toby Mac, Kirk Franklin, Eddie James, Casting Crowns, Mandisa, Sarah Reeves, Mercy Me, Third Day, Celine Dion, Karen Wheaton, Chris Tomlin... and the list goes on, and on, and on!!

On any given Saturday, you can find her either hanging out at home with her family, shopping or taking photos!
